Words

Words
Inside my word I am mute,
Endlessly pursuing to escape,
Down funny shapes and sizes,
Thrown through pesky portals,
Sliding similes to sort meaning,
My fingers frozen ambiguously,
Seeking solitude by assimilation,
Exploring vibrant sounds in-between,
Vicariously searching the perfect phoneme,
Dual beats blistering within indifference,
Of daring diphthongs and inseparable ironies,
Of shaping themes in surreal antiquities,
Embedding passion with pretension,
Vividly painting a visage that reveals,
The emptiness of words
The validity of vision.
Here, no phrase voices its concern,
Instead, one can say,
A picture and her thousand words,
Standing alone, respectively; recreating
What shapes and stands to be true: Words-
Unspoken seekers of the spoken world.
